În august am avut o lună mai leneşă, dar cred eu că asta se datorează timpului liber şi faptului că asta mă face să lenevesc mai mult decât de obicei. Lasând deoparte asta şi bucurându-mă de faptul că de două zile încoace sunt foarte activă, am zis să postez şi wrap up-ul pentru august, până nu se strică treaba. *sper să reuşesc să postez şi bookhaul-ul, luna asta.* Genesis de Bernard Beckett (4 stele pe GoodReads) – această cărticică pe cât de scurtă, pe atât de bine reuşeşte să te lase fără cuvinte. E greu de rezumat un plot şi e şi mai greu să-ţi dai cu părerea despre personaje. Genesis prezintă în acelaşi timp două poveşti, stilul fiind cel de interviu, prin care află atât trecutul, cât şi prezentul naţiunii în cauză. Romanul are 7 părţi, iar suspansul şi intriga nu încetează să vină după fiecare sfârşit de capitol. Am lipsit din nou. Nici nu mai îmi caut scuze. Aseară pur şi simplu căutam ceva, dar nici eu nu ştiam ce. Ei, cum a fost vacanţa? Cum aţi petrecut de Paşte? Frate, toată săptămâna aia a plouat sau a fost frig. Am stat numai în casă. Nu m-a deranjat prea tare pentru că am citit la fel cum aş fi făcut-o şi dacă era soare, dar eu vruiam să ies afară şi să citesc. Să revin la săptămâna actuală.
